An Angel's Birthday

  I can almost see you standing there
A smile upon your face
Almost breaking into laughter
Your memory time can not erase.

Today is your Birthday
You would have been two
You’d be dressed in your finest
Surrounded by all those you knew.

We’d sing Happy Birthday
And serve up some cake
There’d be balloons and some presents
And lots of pictures to take.

Are there Birthdays in Heaven?
Are you celebrated there?
Do your eyes light up with wonder
At gifts beyond compare?

Go play with the sweet angels
And soar through the sky
Rest on soft clouds
And watch the stars float  right on by.

 Delight in God’s wonders
That are given anew
Today is your Birthday
 The Heavens celebrate you!

Our Heavenly family will gather ‘round
the angels will sweetly sing
To celebrate your Birthday
Our wishes of love to you they’ll bring.

So  make a wish upon a star
And sing a happy tune
Play Ring Around The Rosy
Watch the cow  jump o’er the moon.

Delight in your surroundings
Let joy just overflow
Remember only goodness
May love be all you know.

A part of us went with you
And in Heaven does now live
Your love lives on within our hearts
So that to others we may give.

I’ll celebrate your life here
A daughter all our own
You brought only joy and goodness
Your seeds of love were sown.

Happy Birthday, our dear Gracie!
Let that little light of yours shine
Our own little Angel
