The web address for the above picture has changed, and there is no www in the URL. This seems to be a problem with Firefox users. If you can't see the image in Firefox, be sure you do not have a www in the address! Every 20 seconds the image above will change if you hit the refresh button [F-5] on your computer, or another automatic method.. There are 20 different images being taken in each series. The front of cabin shot is inserted every fifth one. The camera is a Toshiba IK-WB21A approximately 12 feet above ground in an enclosed blower-heated sealed dome enclosure. You can actually see it in the top right of the Netcam1 pic image. It looks like a street light on a 4"x6"x16' treated pole. It can rotate 360 degrees with the only blind spot being directly behind the mounting pole. With the nighttime exposure currently set at four seconds it is extremely sensitive. The camera is not supposed to take images while moving, but I have seen that it sometimes does with some Psychedelic results! We are now uploading four hi-resolution cameras over our jamaPeferred DSL connection (6mbps down / 1mbps upload speed). Join me in watching the snow pile up against the roof. Because of the bandwidth required and all your hits in the winter months, we incur costs averaging $200 per month for this web site. Your financial support is appreciated, but certainly not required. We use a Sensaphone Web 600

Absolute Automation sold it to us. They were a joy to deal with!
The Web600 monitors our cabin's temperature, AC power, windows & doors, & motion detection inside the cabin. It will even email me or send a cell phone instant message if all is not good! I found it easy to setup, and the customer support was stellar. I have asked it to send me the temperature of the cabin once an hour if it falls outside of the range of 60F-75F, and it does just that.
I can talk to it via the internet and it me . . . Sweeeeet!
