Some memories of our family spending time with Gracie Jo
August 18, 2000 - March 6, 2002
On March 6, 2002, we lost Gracie way too soon at only 18 months of age to a very sudden illness. Something that is helping me in the grieving process is to share her with others.  Many of you will not be interested in this page, as it is primarily of our family.  However, Gracie was our little Angel and this is really something that helps me feel better.  If you have broad band access or just want a high resolution picture to print, you can click on the images to see the uncompressed file.  Right click on it to save it.   You can then re-size it inside of  your photo editing software.  These pictures should be between 1 and 2.5 MB in size so they should print much better than the thumbnails.  Most of these pictures were taken with a Kodak DC-120 digital camera.

One of the things Scott loved to do was "pose" Gracie for the camera.  Tracy was in the middle of folding clothes when I set up the first picture.  I didn't take the time to wipe up the slobber!  Gracie seemed so happy in the basket . . . . The second one was taken March 15, 2001.  Her first birthday August 18, 2001 was really something.  She was soon joined by her brothers in the last shot.

The same week Gracie turned the big ONE,  we left for the cabin.  Here we are on the beach at Whitefish point.  She seems pretty happy, even though some of her brothers are not!   Seems that this is the fifth time I have said it is the last picture we would take.  Gracie is laughing because I keep running back to get in the picture and she bounces right along behind in the backpack.

Ok I know some of you are wondering how we got that great panoramic shot of the river.   Well, I have to admit, that 24' long canoe is only about 12' long.  Yes I grabbed a border and pulled the image wider.   I know, I know but look at it  ;-)  The high resolution image behind it is in it's normal size.  Never believe 100% what you see on the web.

We designed her headstone and think it is really special.
