We are home in Ohio and
finally getting our days/nights turned back around. The flight
home was long and stressful on us, but Maggie Jo did a fine job of
sleeping/eating/playing on the way home. Tomorrow (Saturday) we will show her off to
friends and family as my parents are having a party that 200 people
usually attend. It is called a POW WOW after the American Indian
custom of getting together for food and fellowship.
We had an awesome trip to
China. Our coordinator Tracy X (Xia Hongtu) was a fantastic
leader, paperwork pusher, and even Lioness! Her actions made us
all feel confident we would have successful outcomes. She
put herself in front of all problems for us. I nearly cried saying good bye to her at
the airport. It always comes so suddenly and we are in the "get
through security and on the plane" mode, and I wish I could have taken
more time to thank Tracy X properly. THANK YOU just seems so inadequate
for the efforts she extended on all our behalf.
Maggie Jo is learning to
love her brothers and Lili every day. They actually get along
wonderfully well already. Lili started wanting her milk in a baby
bottle the first day, but after I filled it with baby formula, she
stopped that habit! She is very protective of her little
sister Maggie Jo. She pronounces her name loudly and clearly and even
tells anyone who will listen "She is from China and so is Lili!".
China must seem like heaven to her, as it is this mystical place that
mom and dad go for babies! I will start editing the Video Tape I
shot next week. My goal is to have it back to all the group
members by Thanksgiving. I will be updating the website with
extra pictures over the next few days, so check it out at http://www.cabincam.net/china.html
Once again we had a fantastic
trip to China and back. We loved having Tracy X as our
coordinator for the second time, and we thank her, all the people of
China we came in contact with
(except one) from the bottom of our hearts. I pray that life in
China gets easier each passing month for the people of China. I
have a feeling that we will be back before they all forget us. I love
living in the United States of America, but China has taken a part of my heart and
won't let go. It is a good part too!
God Bless you All,
Scott & Tracy Davis
